The Danish owners, Erik and Ingeborg, fell in love with this property and purchased it back in November 2007 just before moving to Granada. The serene surroundings far from the hustle and bustle of other cities inspired them to build a small hotel exactly suiting their taste. 

The couple built the hotel themselves together with Spanish / Danish architect Maria Gomez-Guillamón, Danish interior designer Malene Hasse and with help from local workers. They lived in Nicaragua for three year and opened the boutique hotel Los Patios the 1.04.2011. Ingeborg now runs the hotel supported by her amazing staff.
